Yes, I was at Rouge last night for dinner, and yes, Bruce Springsteen was also there.
I’m not going to return your call for two reasons:
1. On the off chance that I bump into BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN again, I do not want to be the one responsible for making his week in Calgary dreadful because of a bunch of unwanted media attention. #disrespectful and #itistheboss and #cbcyougetthetwitterthingright
2. Isn’t there something better you could be reporting on today? Like that flotilla/oil spill/Zak Pashak Ward 8. OR - ‘Eddie’ the squirrel in Bankview with a plastic six-pack ring stuck around his middle for like, the last three weeks? Someone save Eddie!
Or, if you are just DYING to know, yes, my date last night was so much fun! Food was amazing, and we saw Bruce Springsteen. I called a friend about it from the bathroom… and now it’s on CBC? Crazy! Thanks so much for the Facebook message.
I understand there is a story here, but it’s not much of a story. And you are going to ruin his week. He’s here in CALGARY of all places, let’s give him cause to come back (for a show, please GOD for a show) and not make him “wanna spit in the face of these badlands” and all that.
