Award season for movies is such nonsense. Case in point: Michael Fassbender was not nominated for a Best Actor Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Shame, but Jack Dawson* was for J. Edgar. Dumb. That said, happy that Christopher Plummer got a nomination for Beginners, he was the best thing about that movie. Oh, plus, Gary Oldman in Tinker, Tailor? Come on! *Leonardo DiCaprio

In which James Franco compares The Descendants and Twilight 4 for THE PARIS REVIEW. By the way, was super meh about The Descendants. Some good bits, but I largely agree with Franco. Plus, the only time I’ve ever seen Clooney act was in Michael Clayton, a.k.a. one of my favorite films ever.
